Join us at Ocean Isle Beach, NC for a 4-day workshop with visiting artist Ben Owen III. As an expert in pottery, he will share techniques passed down through generations of family potters in Seagrove, NC. Learn the art of throwing multi-part pieces, decoration, glazing, and firing methods through demonstrations, lecture, hands-on teaching, and open discussions. Some lessons include throwing vessels, trimming pieces, coil and throw, altered pieces and adding details through carving. The workshop is priced at $550 per person with a 50% refund for cancellations made 14 business days before the start of class.
