Join us for a hands-on workshop focusing on large platters and plates, featuring slip carving techniques with renowned artist Po Wen Lui. This event will take place at Fat Cat Pottery, Seaside Studio, located at 1641 Seaside Rd SW, Ocean Isle Beach, NC.

More about Po Wen Liu

Po Wen Liu is an acclaimed ceramic artist and educator with an extensive background in both artistic practice and leadership. Holding a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics from Northern Illinois University, Liu has taught at numerous institutions and directed ceramics programs in the United States and internationally. His work has been featured in solo, juried, and curated exhibitions across North America, China, India, and Japan, and he is known for his expertise in surface decoration and glaze techniques. Liu has contributed to ceramic publications including Ceramics Monthly Magazine.  These experiences enrich his teaching and provide students with valuable insight into contemporary ceramic arts.
